Pluck turns text you select — or copy — into instant actions. A Jira ticket key, a URL, or anything you define with a regex: Pluck appears with the right action ready to run, a click or a keystroke away. It shows up in the corner of your screen, out of the way of what you're reading.
For macOS 15 (Sequoia) or later. Runs from the menu bar.
Free 14-day trial — every feature included. A licence is required once the trial ends.
By downloading you agree to the Terms and Privacy Policy. Purchases are sold by Lemon Squeezy (Merchant of Record) — 14-day refund policy.
This demo recreates how Pluck works, running in your browser. Trying it here installs nothing on your Mac and asks for no permissions.
Select part of the conversation below — drag or double-click — and options appear in the bottom-right corner of the screen. Click one, or press ⌃1–⌃3.

Following up on PLK-2. I wrote up how to write rules at https://pluck-now.com/guide/rules.html. Please check PLK-3 for how pinning works.

Gracias. Esta mañana probé el historial del portapapeles. Al seleccionar la clave del ticket se abrió la página correcta sin cambiar de app.
The rules and translations in this demo were prepared for this page, and every link goes to the guide on this site. In the app, you write your own rules (defaults for Jira, GitHub and links are included), and translation runs on your Mac.
Browsers, Slack, editors, docs — anywhere you can select text, Pluck works.
Select something and the panel is already there. No hotkey to remember, no menu to open. It appears in the same corner every time, so you always know where to look.
Selection is the main route; this is the fallback. Some apps never reveal what you selected, so there you press ⌘C and Pluck picks it up instead — no Accessibility permission needed for this path.
⌃1–⌃0 are fixed per rule, so a rule keeps its number whatever else appears. Your hands stay on the keyboard, and Pluck never takes focus away from the app you were working in.
Open a URL, copy, or run a shell command — matched by a pattern you define.
Works out which of your two languages the text is in and translates it into the other, on your device. A single word in the other language gets its macOS dictionary definition instead. macOS may download a language model from Apple the first time you use a language pair.
Keeps the last 200 pieces of text you copied, on your Mac. Open it with ⌃⌘H, search, and pick one to paste it at your cursor.
About shell commands: a command you configure runs on your Mac under your own user account, with your own permissions — it can do anything you could do yourself. Don't run rules or commands from sources you don't trust. See Terms §4.
Suggestions always appear in the same spot: the bottom-right corner of the screen. They don't pop up next to your cursor or move each time you select something, and they don't take focus from the app you're working in. What you're reading stays uncovered — glance at the corner only when you want an action.
Select text in any app
Slack, your browser, Notes — anywhere you can select text.
The panel appears automatically
It shows up bottom-right. If it doesn't, just copy the text with ⌘C — Pluck picks that up too.
Run it
Open the ticket, copy, run a command. Click it, or press ⌃1–⌃0 without leaving the keyboard. Translations appear at the bottom of the column, ready to read.
